ATI Names Head Of Metals, Alloys Unit

Specialty metals maker said Thursday it appointed Lynn D. Davis to the newly created position of group president of ATI Primary Metals and Exotic Alloys.

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Specialty metals maker Allegheny Technologies Inc. said Thursday it named Lynn D. Davis to the newly created position of group president of ATI Primary Metals and Exotic Alloys.

Davis was previously president of the ATI's Wah Chang unit, which makes specialty metals and is based in Albany, Ore., the company said.

ATI also announced a slew of other personnel changes. It said John D. Sims, vice president of operations at ATI Allvac, will take on Davis's old role at ATI Wah Chang.

Hunter R. Dalton was named to the newly created position of group president of ATI Long Products and will remain president of ATI Allvac, the company said.

Terry L. Dunlap was named to the new position of group president of ATI Flat-Rolled Products and remains president of ATI Allegheny Ludlum, it said.

Lastly, ATI said David M. Hogan will remain group president of ATI Engineered Products and president of ATI Metalworking Products.

Shares of ATI lost $2.87, or 9.7 percent, to $25.95 in afternoon trading. Earlier in the session, the stock hit a three-year low of $25.77.
