NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) -- Bacardi Ltd. said Monday it named Seamus McBride president and chief executive, effective Sept. 1.
McBride, 53, succeeds Andreas Gembler, 65, who is retiring after serving as president and chief executive officer since 2005.
McBride previously worked at Colgate-Palmolive Co. as executive vice president and president of the company's North America and worldwide commercial effectiveness.
Privately-held Bacardi markets more than 200 brands and labels, including Bacardi rum and Grey Goose vodka.
