BOSTON (AP) -- Orthopedic product maker Orthofix International NV on Monday named Brad Mason to the new position of group president, North America.
Mason previously served as president of the company's sports medicine subsidiary, Breg.
Replacing Mason at Breg is Brad Lee, who was serving as vice president and general manager there.
In his new position, Mason will lead Orthofix's efforts to improve synergies between the company's spine, orthopedic and sports medicine divisions. In addition, he will oversee initiatives regarding the integration of Blackstone Medical, acquired in September 2006, into the company.
Mason founded Breg and subsequently sold the company to Orthofix in December 2003. He also was a co-founder of dj Orthopedics.
Before joining Breg in 2005, Lee served as Vice President of Marketing for LMA North America.
