GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Clothing manufacturer VF Corp., which makes Wrangler and Lee jeans, said Thursday its president and chief operating officer, Eric C. Wiseman, will replace Mackey J. McDonald as chief executive at the beginning of 2008.
After the transition on Jan. 1, McDonald, 60, will continue to serve as chairman of VF's board.
Wiseman, 51, joined VF in 1995 as executive vice president of JanSport. He became VF's executive vice president of global brands in 2005 and was appointed president and COO in 2006. He has served on VF's board since 2006.
VF shares finished Wednesday's trading at $84.19.
