NAM Names New Vice President

Rosario Palmieri — former director of energy and resources policy — is the new vice president of infrastructure, legal and regulatory policy.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Association of Manufacturers today named Rosario Palmieri to the position of vice president of infrastructure, legal and regulatory policy to take effect Sept. 17.
 
Palmieri joined NAM earlier this year as director of energy and resources policy. He had previously served on the House committee on government reform and the House committee on small business.
 
“Rosario is an excellent example of the high quality of professionals joining the NAM,” said NAM President John Engler. “During his time with the NAM, Rosario has done an outstanding job advocating pro-growth energy and natural resources policies to Congress. The NAM has assumed a leadership role in shaping a comprehensive infrastructure strategy for America’s future. The Alliance for Improving America’s Infrastructure will be housed in the newly-reorganized department that Rosario will lead.”
 
“Rosario possesses the policy expertise, leadership ability, analytical skills and commitment to manufacturing which will help us to advance our policies on infrastructure and transportation, as well as legal and regulatory matters,” said Jay Timmons, NAM senior vice president for policy.
 
Palmieri holds a bachelor’s degree. in political science from American University in Washington, D.C.
