Chart Industries Gets $100M Order From Energy World

Gas processing equipment supplier will provide apparatus for four natural gas liquefaction systems which will be installed in Southeast Asia.

CLEVELAND (AP) - Gas processing equipment supplier Chart Industries Inc. said Monday that Hong Kong-based energy company Energy World Corp. placed orders worth more than $100 million.

Chart Energy & Chemicals Inc., a unit of Chart Industries, will supply cold boxes, brazed aluminum heat exchangers, air cooled heat exchangers and ancillary equipment for four natural gas liquefaction systems, or so-called ''trains,'' which will be installed in Southeast Asia. The systems will provide liquefied natural gas to Indonesia, the Philippines, China and Japan.

The first two trains are scheduled to come on stream in the second quarter of 2009.

Chart Industries shares closed Friday at $28.44.
