Bombardier To Refurbish 30-Year-Old Norwegian Train Sets

Contract, valued at $30 million, covers 39 vehicles.

BERLIN (CP) - Bombardier Transportation said Monday it has been commissioned by the Norwegian State Railway to refurbish 13 three-decade-old train sets totalling 39 vehicles.
 
The contract is valued at $30 million.
 
The train sets were built between 1975 and 1977 at the Strommen site in Norway now owned by Bombardier. The refurbishment will be conducted at the same plant between October of this year and May 2009.
