FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Weyerhaeuser Co. announced Thursday it signed a purchase and sale agreement to transfer ownership of its veneer technologies operation in Elma, Wash., to Murphy Co. of Eugene, Ore.
The company expects the sale to be completed within the next 45 days.
The Elma facility produces green and dry veneer for international customers and employs 60 people.
Murphy Co. is a forest products company producing plywood and veneer.
