ATLANTA - Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. announced Thursday the appointment of Jeff Timms as vice president, Electronics Assembly Systems Division (EA), effective immediately.
Timms was named acting vice president in early 2007 to fill a position vacated by Vice President Guenter Lauber, who accepted a senior leadership position with the A&D global Electronics Assembly Systems Division in Munich, Germany.
Prior to joining Siemens in 1997 as manager of global key accounts and product marketing, Timms had a 13-year career with Universal Instruments, a subsidiary of the Dover Corp., which serves the global electronic assembly and manufacturing market.
During his career with Siemens, Timms has held several management positions, including vice president of services and sales and general manager of the Electronics Assembly Business Unit. Before being named acting EA vice president, Timms was the division's vice president of marketing and sales.
Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. manufactures electrical and electronic products, systems and services for the industrial and construction markets.
