Mitsubishi Chemical Completes New Production Line

Mitsubishi Chemical FP America will produce fire-rated Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) with a noncombustible mineral core.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Mitsubishi Chemical Functional Products, Inc. announced Wednesday that its subsidiary in the U.S. has completed its new production line to manufacture ALPOLIC/fr.
 
Mitsubishi Chemical FP America will produce fire-rated Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) with a noncombustible mineral core.
 
MCFP began production of ALPOLIC in Japan in 1971, and the Virginia plant opened in 1991.
 
The overall production volume of ALPOLIC, shared by the Chesapeake plant and three plants in Japan, is 12 million square meters annually.
