PITTSBURGH (AP) - VI Inc., maker of crystal products used in lasers and other items, has named Francis J. Kramer as chief executive, replacing Carl J. Johnson, effective July 1.
Johnson, 65, will remain as chairman of the company, which he co-founded in 1971.
Kramer, who is 57, has worked for the company for more than two decades in varied roles including vice president and general manager of manufacturing, as well as president and chief operating officer. He will continue in his role as president in addition to his new duties.
