Griffon Receives $9 Million From SRCTec For Counter IED System

To date, the company has received $345 million awards and expects to complete all work during or before the fourth quarter 2007.

JERICHO, N.Y. - Griffon Corp. announced Thursday that Telephonics Corp., its electronic information and communication systems subsidiary, has received awards worth $9 million from SRCTec, Inc., for turnkey production of a Counter Improvised Explosive Device (Counter IED) system.

Telephonics’ awards-to-date are approximately $345 million and the company expects work for all awards to be completed during or before the fourth quarter 2007.

“There are few programs that successfully attain the demanding levels this program has achieved in all aspects of a sustained operational execution model with dynamic response to changing short term requirements,” noted Donald C. Pastor, President of Telephonics’ Electronic Systems Division.

SRCTec is a wholly owned subsidiary of Syracuse Research Corp. and provides integrated solutions, project management and full life-cycle support.

Griffon develops and manufactures information and communication systems for government and commercial markets, as well as developing and producing embossed and laminated specialty plastic films for a variety of markets.
