Rockwell Automation Acquires Irish Engineering Company

ProsCon Holdings, headquartered in Cork, Ireland, will increase Rockwell's presence in life sciences market.

Rockwell Automation, Inc., a supplier of industrial automation control and information systems, announced Thursday its acquisition of ProsCon Holdings Ltd., headquartered in Cork, Ireland, an engineering firm that provides process systems to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ProsCon's management team and its employees will become part of Rockwell Automation's global solutions group.

The acquisition will allow Rockwell to increase their process automation capability to the life sciences market in Ireland and Europe, according to Bob Honor, Vice President, Life Sciences, Rockwell Automation.

The ProsCon acquisition is in addition to Rockwell's other recent acquisitions of Propack Data, Datasweep and Caribbean Integration Engineers.

Rockwell, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., has approximately 19,000 employees globally.
