DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) announced Thursday that its Ethylene Copolymers business will increase prices for Nucrel Acid copolymer resins immediately.
The company also plans to streamline its product line.
The price increase takes effect immediately, or as customers' contracts allow. DuPont P&IP regional sales and marketing organizations will contact customers directly regarding specific initiatives affected by these actions.
"This price increase and other actions are critical to supporting reinvestment economics in a market characterized by volatile energy costs and high demand," said B.C. Chong, vice president, ethylene copolymers business unit of DuPont P&IP. "We remain steadfast in our drive to improve service levels, accelerate fixed cost productivity and reach innovation milestones that benefit our customers."
