Cantex Inc. said Wednesday it closed on a 30-acre site in Kingman, Arizona, where it will build a manufacturing and distribution facility.
The company currently operates eight manufacturing plants and two distribution centers.Cantex is a producer of PVC conduit and electrical products for the power, utility, building construction and communication markets.
In 1992, Cantex was acquired by Sumitomo Corp. of America (SCOA), the largest wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Corp. Tokyo Japan.
Headquartered in Forth Worth, Texas, Cantex's new Arizona plant will be the company's sixth location, ninth and tenth manufacturing facility and third distribution center. The company plans to start operations in August 2007.
