Kennametal Announces Board Changes

Yost elected chairman, Simpkins elected VP and CFO, and Moser elected VP, finance and corporate controller.

Kennametal Inc., said Wednesday that its board of directors has selected Larry D. Yost as chairman of the board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2007. Yost will succeed Markos I. Tambakeras who will step down from the board on Jan. 1.

Yost had served as chairman and CEO of ArvinMeritor, Inc. from August 2000 until his retirement in August 2004. Before that, he was Chairman and CEO of Meritor Automotive Inc. and has served on the Kennametal Board since 1987.

Kennametal also said Wednesday that Frank P. Simpkins has been selected as Vice President and CFO and Wayne D. Moser was selected as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller, both effective as of Dec. 6, 2006.

Simpkins had been serving as interim CFO since September 30, while serving as Corporate Controller. He will now oversee the company’s finance, treasury, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. He has been with the company since 1995.

Moser had served as CFO of the company’s European operations. He will oversee the corporate financial process and the company’s accounting system and records, in addition to the preparation and filing of the financial statements and reports. Moser has been with the company since 1984.

Kennametal Inc. is a supplier of tooling, engineered components and advanced materials consumed in the production processes.
