DuPont announced Tuesday an agreement to sell its Special Adhesives business to Bostik GmbH by Dec. 31, 2006.
The financial details were not disclosed, and the sale is subject to approval by appropriate government agencies.
DuPont's Special Adhesives business, located in Wuppertal, Germany, produces adhesives for the packaging industry. Its 27 employees will be offered jobs by Bostik.
Bostik GmbH, based in Borgholzhausen, Germany, is part of the Bostik Group, an adhesive manufacturer. Bostik Group is a unit of Total, headquartered in France.
Under the sale agreement, DuPont will continue to manufacture adhesives for Bostik until it establishes its own manufacturing facilities.
