HACCP for the Organic Professional

The Organic Trade Association (OTA) and NSF International, a public health and safety organization and parent company of organic certifier QAI, are offering a  course entitled, “Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) for the Organic Professional.” The two-day course will be offered Tuesday-Wednesday, March 5-6, prior to the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California.

The hands-on course discusses how to achieve as well as maintain HACCP standards and practices. It is uniquely designed for organic and food safety professionals, organic farmers, manufacturers, handlers and retailers.  Specific topics include:
- seven principles of HACCP and how they relate to prerequisite and organic certification programs,
- how to write HACCP plans, and
- how to implement HACCP in organic food environments.
