Manufacturing Day 2016 is Friday, Oct. 7, but manufacturers have been celebrating all week with tours, presentations and other events. Manufacturing Day, a celebration of modern manufacturing, is meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.
The Manufacturing Day mission is to “addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t.”
The first National Manufacturing Day was held in 2011, and since has grown to more than 2,500 events being held this year in conjunction with the day.
Here’s just a glimpse at some of the great events companies and organizations are hosting as part of #MFGday16.
