A West Virginia man is suing Johnsonville Sausage after he claims he got meningitis from one of their bratwursts. The man says he went to the hospital with various complications, including chest pain, nausea, vomiting and neck pain, but the hospital failed to reach a diagnosis until he returned two days later with a fever and an altered mental status. The man claims the West Virginia Dept. of Health and Human Resources/the Bureau for Public Health tested the sausage, which was allegedly positive for listeria.
