Technical fabrics maker Glen Raven has a range of GlenGuard®FR fabrics for industrial protective apparel. The fabrics are designed to be lighter weight and more flexible while exceeding NFPA 70E industrial safety standards for thermal and body burn protection. According to the company, when safety apparel is comfortable workers are more likely to wear it as specified, reducing their risk of injury.

GlenGuard®FR is made with Kermel® aramid and modacrylic fibers that are inherently flame and arc flash resistant — characteristics that won’t wear off or wash out. The fabrics are color-fast, abrasion-resistant and more environmentally-friendly because no FR chemical finishes are needed. The fabrics have an Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 textile safety certification indicating that they are free from harmful levels of hazardous substances.
