The 3/4” Dr. Flank Drive impact sockets for shallow 6 point and shallow 12 point fractional sockets now incorporate sizes from 9/16” to 2-3/8”, and deep 6 point sockets extend from 9/16” to 2”.

Snap-on® Industrial has expanded its line of ¾” Dr. Flank Drive® impact sockets and combination wrenches. The 3/4” Dr. Flank Drive impact sockets for shallow 6 point and shallow 12 point fractional sockets now incorporate sizes from 9/16” to 2-3/8”, and deep 6 point sockets extend from 9/16” to 2”.  For metric sockets, shallow 6 point sizes range from 17 mm to 50 mm and deep 6 point extends from 17 mm to 41 mm. Standard length 12 point Flank Drive combination wrenches extend from 1/4” to 3-1/2”.

The impact sockets are heat treated to optimize impact service life, and with a lower hardness than hand sockets, are built to withstand the repeated cycling loads of impact wrenches. Snap-on Industrial uses a proprietary blend of alloy socket steel that provides long life and great strength.

The Snap-on Flank Drive wrenching system delivers up to 20 percent more turning power without slipping or rounding when compared to conventional hex designs. It also moves the contact point away from the corner of the fastener using a radius, which promotes flat-to-flat surface contact for added turning power.

According to the company, Snap-on Industrial Flank Drive sockets exceed ANSI performance standards, and the combination wrenches meet or exceed ANSI/ASME StandardB107, 100-2002 and Aerospace Standard AS954E 3.8.1.
