Good Things are Coming...

...to Those Who Don't Have Time to Wait

I am not a patient person. When I want something, I essentially want it yesterday. When I was five years old, I decided it was time to take the training wheels off my bike. My dad wasn’t home from work yet. I couldn’t wait. I found his Craftsman 50-drawer toolbox and tore it apart until I found the right wrench. Then, with all the care a five year old could muster, I extracted the training wheels from my red Schwinn. I then proceeded to teach myself (somewhat unsuccessfully) how to ride a bike without training wheels.

My need for speed in all aspects of life has not lessened in my adulthood. I recently changed my auto insurance carrier because my old carrier would not allow me to make online payments. Take the time to write a check and mail a bill? Not this girl. The same goes for information. I have Google alerts and RSS feeds coming at me from every angle. I need news and information and I need it at my fingertips – I do not want to forage for updates.

I know I am not the only one who feels this way. And I am certainly not the only busy person out there, whose schedule and severe lack of patience simply does not allow for wasted time. So I’m proud to announce the launch of Today in Food Mfg., Food Manufacturing magazine’s first daily newsletter.

Sent electronically, our daily newsletter will consist of up-to-the-minute news items from trusted news sources, hand-picked to appeal directly to our readership. The daily will also include exclusive articles, case studies, and editorial columns (not only from yours truly but also written by select industry experts), as well as daily product picks. Subscribers will also be provided with video links, surveys and results, whitepapers, and links to our most recent digital issue.

Basically, everything you need to keep up with food industry happenings will arrive neatly in your mailbox on a daily basis. Consider it a training wheel-less gift from one impatient person to another.
