Who Needs Tooling?

Enclosures from ClickFold are easy to use, inexpensive and able to be put right in the production line.

ClickFoldAtlantic Packaging, a North Carolina business, had a problem. It wanted low quantities (in the hundreds) of three separate enclosures to look alike for a new product.

Off-the-shelf boxes did not allow the three separate enclosures to have a similar look. Separate injection tooling with three tools was not economically feasible.

ClickFold Plastics offered a practical, financially viable solution, thanks to its technology of route, V-groove, bend and solvent-weld ABS sheet. ClickFold was able to satisfy the customer's requirements of low tooling costs of $3,000 using CNC, CAD and digital printing. The three pieces were prototyped and approved in two weeks, and production parts were delivered within three weeks after placement of order.

In-house digital printing provides a handsome appearance. Internal brackets, inserts and mounting tabs are included. The cost: $100 for a set of three.

Off-the-shelf boxes may require many alterations to be usable. Fortunately, there is a better way. Enclosures from ClickFold are easy to use, inexpensive and able to be put right in the production line.
