In fact, according to a recent study, Americans are expected to spend $4.4 billion (roughly $35.57 per person) celebrating the Emerald Isle.
Even worldwide, the holiday means big business.
For instance, 7.5 million pints of Guinness are consumed around the world every day — on St. Patrick’s Day that number jumps to 13 million.
