ALTANA Pharma, a division of ALTANA AG, officially opened a new tablet production facility in Cork, Ireland today that will expand the capacity for the manufacturing of current and future products.
“This will provide greater flexibility and security in terms of supplying the market with our strategically important products,” said Dr. Hans-Joachim Lohrisch, CEO of ALTANA Pharma AG.
The plant required a 67 million euro ($85.5 million) investment, and currently employs 56 people. When fully operational, 150 can produce 3 billion tablets annually.
