General Motors will invest approximately $30 million in its Wentzville, MO, manufacturing plant that produces the Chevrolet Express and GM Savana full-size vans. According to a report in St. Louis Commerce Magazine, the automaker plans to replace mechanical workings in the plant's stamping facility with electronic systems.
Upgrades are to begin this year and continue through 2007. More than 2,500 employees work at the Wentzville plant, including 120 in the stamping facility.
