China Surpasses U.S. in Global IT Sales

China exported $180 billion worth of information and communications technology (ICT) goods in 2004. By comparison, China exported $123 billion worth in 2003. These goods include mobile phones, laptops, and digital cameras. ICT exports from the U.S. were $137 billion in 2003 and $149 billion in 2004.
