Tata Motors will jointly manufacture vehicles at Fiat’s Ranjangaon facility as an extension of the companies’ current alliance. The companies have been cooperating since September 2005.
Under the current agreement, some Tata Motors dealers are selling Fiat cars. In the future, the agreement may include car badging, or Fiat producing Tata cars and vice versa, technological exchange and expansion to cover some of Fiat’s other brans, such as Maserati and Ferrari.
