Francine Shaw New Head of DuPont Performance Elastomers

Francince C. Shaw will succeed John R. "Jack" Lewis as president and CEO of DuPont Performance Elastomers as of April 1, 2006.

DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE), a wholly-owned DuPont subsidiary, has announced that John R. "Jack" Lewis, president and CEO, will retire April 1, 2006, after 40 years of total service with DPE and DuPont. He will be succeeded by Francine C. Shaw, vice-president - Dupont Corporate Operations, as of April 1.

Shaw, 51, has served in a variety of business and functional management positions including marketing, manufacturing, financial, and human resources. She joined Dupont in 1977, and previously led the DuPont Teijin Films joint venture and the DuPont Global Services Business.

Lewis, 62, joined DuPont in 1965 and has held various management positions in the automotive finishes and polymers areas in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He joined the DuPont Dow Elastomers joint venture as President and CEO in September 2003 and continued in that role when the joint venture became a DuPont subsidiary in July 2005.

DuPont Performance Elastomers, headquartered in Wilmington, DE, is a global supplier of specialty elastomers serving the automotive, chemical, petrochemical, semiconductor, food and pharmaceutical processing, construction, general rubber, and wire and cable industries.

More
