Pepperl+Fuchs

Pepperl+Fuchs (Twinsburg, OH) introduced a new series of surge protection modules for demanding process plants and industrial networks. The surge protection module portfolio is designed for protecting signal, fieldbus and Ethernet lines against operational switching surges, electrostatic discharge, ground faults and short circuits. They can be used in refineries, large-scale water management plants, industrial control cabinets and hazardous process plant environments.

Features:

  • Safeguards measurement, control signal, fieldbus and Ethernet lines at both the field level and the control system I/O level against operational switching surges and ground faults
  • Compact surge protection barriers for Ethernet cabling that reduce required space in control cabinet while minimizing planning and installation effort
  • Specifically designed to handle high signal currents, intrinsically safe measurement loops and bus systems with energy-coordinated, fault-safe protection concepts
  • Offers DIN-rail mounting modules, screw-terminated units for field devices and plug-in modules tailored for Pepperl+Fuchs K-System
  • Engineered to address installation requirements across hazardous zones including Zones 1/21 and 2/22, as well as Class I, Div. 1 and Class II, Div. 2
