DANBURY, Conn. (AP) FuelCell Energy Inc. (FCEL) on Thursday reported a loss of $17 million in its fiscal third quarter.
The Danbury, Connecticut-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 23 cents per share.
The fuel cell power plant maker posted revenue of $10.4 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $19 million.
The company's shares closed at $1.50. A year ago, they were trading at $5.31.
