First Solar Building Malaysian Plant

$150 million manufacturing plant is scheduled to start production in the first half of 2009 with a capacity of 120 megawatts.

PHOENIX (AP) — Solar modules maker First Solar Inc. said Friday its board approved construction of a $150 million manufacturing plant in Malaysia.
 
The plant, to be built next to two First Solar plants currently under construction, is scheduled to start production in the first half of 2009.
 
The Malaysian plant will have a capacity of 120 megawatts, the company said.
