Mixed Results for Oil Prices

Crude-oil prices relaxed today as gasoline and heating oil rose due to potential refinery problems in the United States.

The International Energy Agency (IEA), which acts as the energy watchdog for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development countries, revised demand figures to 1.49 million barrels a day. This is a reduction from 1.78 million barrels approximately one month ago.

Gasoline figures rose more than two cents to $1.7654 a gallon, while heating oil rose about one cent to $1.7654 a gallon.

Nigeria's oil production has been off recently due to militant attacks on pipelines and oil facilities by approximately 400,000 barrels a day.
