Evergreen Solar Inc., a manufacturer of solar power products, said Monday it signed a four-year supply contract with Mainstream Energy LLC, a provider of residential and commercial solar electric systems, for $100 million worth of photovoltaic modules.
Evergreen’s plant in Massachusetts and EverQ’s German factory will manufacture the photovoltaic modules. EverQ is a partnership between Evergreen Solar, Q-Cells AG of Germany and Renewable Energy Corp. ASA (REC) of Norway.
This is the sixth major contract for Evergreen in the past year. The value of the six contracts will be more than $700 million over five years.
