Sealy, Texas-based Hennessey Performance Engineering has turned their attention to the 2020 C8 Corvette. The well-known and widely-respected custom vehicle shop will take the vehicle’s stock V8 and add two turbochargers.

This, along with other modifications that include an upgraded exhaust system, will give the new mid-engine Corvette up to 1,200 horsepower. Additional upgrades will include a dual-clutch transmission, Brembo brakes and an adjustable suspension.

A special wheel and tire package, as well as a CarbonAero exterior body kit will look to help the aesthetics keep pace with the mechanicals.

According to Motor1.com, future ZR1 Corvettes will also boast two turbochargers, but will fall short of Hennessey’s 1,200 HP. A stock C8 comes in at just under 500 horsepower with a top speed of 194 mph.
