LiveWire announced a new partnership with Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage to create a custom S4 Honcho Trail motorcycle. The project marks the second collaboration between LiveWire and Gas Monkey Garage, following the custom S2 Alpinista build unveiled at the 2026 Mama Tried Motorcycle Show.
The custom S4 Honcho Trail build will make its public debut at the 2027 Mama Tried Motorcycle Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after lining up for the inaugural S4 Honcho Class at Flat Out Friday on February 19th, 2027, a new race category created specifically for LiveWire's upcoming mini-moto platform.
Developed in partnership with Flat Out Friday and Mama Tried, the class will feature a mix of motorcycle industry personalities, builders, creators and enthusiasts all competing aboard LiveWire S4 Honcho motorcycles. Confirmed participants include the crew at Gas Monkey Garage, Jeff G. Holt of V-Twin Visionary and members of the founding teams behind Mama Tried and Flat Out Friday, with additional riders to be announced.
Rawlings' custom-built S4 Honcho Trail will serve as one of the marquee machines on the starting grid, bringing the project from his garage directly to the racetrack.
The collaboration begins this week during the 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where Richard Rawlings officially takes delivery of a S4 Honcho Trail to kick off the customization project.
"Richard and the entire Gas Monkey Garage team brought incredible creativity, craftsmanship, and enthusiasm to our first collaboration," LiveWire Head of Commercial Jon Bekefy said. "The response from riders and custom builders exceeded our expectations. Bringing Gas Monkey back to build an S4 Honcho Trail was an easy decision, and we're excited to see what they create for Mama Tried and Flat Out Friday."
The S4 Honcho Street and Trail are LiveWire’s first entry into the mini-moto category. Both Bikes feature dual removeable and swappable batteries, reverse function, multiple ride modes, 12-inch wheels and purpose-built Street and Trail variants tailored to different riding environments. Weighing approximately 250 pounds including batteries and capable of speeds up to 59 mph, the S4 Honcho platform delivers agile performance, flexible charging options and everyday practicality. The S4 Honcho Trail is available with a starting MSRP of $4,999, while the S4 Honcho Street has a starting MSRP of $5,499.
