Toyota supplier Auto Parts Manufacturing Mississippi (APMM) announced a $53 million expansion to its operations in Guntown. The development will support increased production capacity through the purchase, installation and renovation of production equipment.
APMM expects the project to create 28 jobs and will fill those positions over the five years following its completion.
APMM is a parts supplier for the Toyota Corolla, which are manufactured in Blue Springs. Started by Toyota Auto Body-Japan in 2007, the company began production in 2011 and specializes in metal stamping, injection molding, plastics and robotic welding.
“APMM’s $53 million investment marks another huge win for Lee County and Mississippi’s automotive industry,” Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves said. “Expansions like this strengthen our position as a top state for automotive manufacturing.”
The Mississippi Development Authority will support the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Lee County will also assist with the expansion.
