Halla Visteon Climate Control Corp. plans to start production this month at a new plant in central Mexico to support its growing business with global vehicle manufacturers in the region. The new manufacturing facility in the State of Queretaro will manufacture automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units for automakers. Initially, it will have the capacity to produce more than 260,000 units annually, with the capability to expand to more than 500,000 units per year.
"We are pleased to launch this new facility and expand HVCC's global footprint," said YH Park, HVCC president and CEO. "The strategic location of this facility will strengthen the company's ability to support vehicle manufacturers located in central Mexico and help meet the needs of our customers for local content."
HVCC currently has three wholly owned manufacturing operations in Ciudad Juarez, located in northern Mexico. The new manufacturing facility, Climate Systems Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., in Queretaro, is furthering the company's global reach to serve the growing number of automakers in Mexico.
