MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- BAE Systems said Monday it received a contract worth up to $89 million to produce vehicle emergency escape windows for military vehicles.
The windows enable soldiers to quickly exit the vehicle in the event of an emergency, such as a rollover or accident, by releasing and pushing out the front window.
The indefinite deliver/indefinite quantity contract is with military vehicle maker AM General.
Work on the order will be performed at BAE Systems and industrial partner facilities in Minneapolis, Minn., and Butler, Pa.
