Bus Tour Highlights Auto Industry

‘Keep It Made In America’ tour is visiting 11 states and 34 cities this week to highlight how important auto-related jobs are to the U.S. economy.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A bus tour stopping in Tennessee and several other states aims to highlight how important auto-related jobs are to the U.S. economy.

Local workers, community leaders, elected officials, labor leaders and others will bring the message that more than 7.2 million paychecks are dependent on U.S. autos, including health care, education and retail as part of the "Keep It Made in America" tour.

The tour is visiting 11 states and 34 cities this week and stops in the Nashville area Wednesday and Thursday.

It's being sponsored by the Alliance for American Manufacturing, the Mayors and Municipalities Automotive Coalition and the United Steelworkers.
