Aerospace component manufacturer Redwire Corporation announced an expansion at its campus in Huntsville, Alabama. The Florida-based company plans to add 164,000 square feet in an effort to increase its manufacturing and engineering capacity for mission-critical technologies.
The expanded campus looks to accelerate Redwire’s production of combat-proven Stalker Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), Octopus gimbal payloads, advanced energy solutions and space capabilities that support exploration, commerce and national security.
Redwire expects the project to create about 150 jobs that span engineering, manufacturing, integration and technical operations. The company expects to complete construction by the fourth quarter of 2027.
Alabama and Huntsville’s partnership with Redwire on the expansion includes about $8.5 million in state and local economic development incentives.
Redwire employs approximately 1,400 people throughout North America and Europe.
