General Dynamics Corp. said Thursday that the Transportation Security Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, awarded the company a $4.7 million contract for transportation security equipment technology.
The company said this is the first year of a multiyear award for Phase II of the Security Technology Integrated Program. If all options on this award are exercised, the total contract value will be $13.3 million.
General Dynamics had $31.98 billion in revenue in 2009.
Shares of General Dynamics fell 7 cents to $61.20 in afternoon trading.
