AvStar Aviation Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AAVG): Clayton I. Gamber, Jr., the son of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida aviation pioneers "Red" and Athley Gamber, accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer and President of the AvStar Aviation Group, Inc. on Thursday, August 19, 2010. While being "raised at the airport," Clayton began his aviation career by obtaining a Glider Pilot License at the age of 14 and currently is an Airline Transport Pilot with over 8000 flight hours logged. Additionally, he is certified as an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech in 1973, Clayton returned to the family aviation business. While obtaining further experience and knowledge in aviation, Clayton served two terms as the President of the Florida Aviation Trades Association and was the initial Chairman of the Piper Cheyenne Technical Committee of the National Business Aircraft Association. Clayton is currently the Accountable Manager of AvStar's FAA Part 145 Aircraft Repair Station in South Florida and the Director of Operations of the FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Twin Air Calypso Limited, Inc. which became a wholly owned subsidiary of AvStar on August 19, 2010.
