The JetBlue aircraft that blew out four tires during a hard landing at a Northern California airport Thursday has been towed off the runway.
Crews were able to remove the disabled Airbus A320 from the Sacramento International Airport runway Friday afternoon after using giant airbags to prop up the plane and change its tires.
An airport spokeswoman says the runway was reopened at about 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, of the five passengers taken to hospitals with minor injuries after the incident, officials say four have been released. The condition of the fifth person could not be determined.
JetBlue says the plane, which originated in Long Beach with 87 passengers on board, appeared to experience trouble with its brakes, causing the four tires to blow out during the landing.
