Defense contractor Science Applications International Corp. said Wednesday that it received a contract worth up to $400 million to help upgrade training ranges for the U.S. Army.

The contract calls for the company to install new targeting systems and devices on training ranges used by Army soldiers. The contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options.

Shares of Science Applications fell a penny to $15.98 in midday trading.
