State and federal agencies are asking a federal court to approve a new cleanup schedule for the Hanford nuclear reservation, the nation's most polluted nuclear weapons site.

The motion from the U.S. Department of Energy and the state Department of Ecology would impose a new, enforceable, and achievable schedule for cleaning up waste from Hanford's underground tanks.
