Defense contractor Raytheon Co. said Tuesday it received two contracts worth $115.7 million to supply an undersea sonar detection device for U.S. Navy helicopters.
The AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar, an underwater sensor, will be installed on the Navy's MH-60R helicopter, Raytheon said. The device provides submarine detection and other undersea tracking capabilities, the contractor said.
Under the first contract, worth $59.7 million, Raytheon will build, test and deliver the sonar devices. The second contract, worth $56 million, is for spare devices.
Shares of Raytheon fell 44 cents to $45.06 in morning trading.
