Defense contractor Rockwell Collins Inc. spent $217,137 in the second quarter to lobby the federal government on additional funding for GPS devices and other issues, according to a disclosure report.
That's up from the $154,088 that the company spent in the year-ago period, but less than the $240,097 it spent in the first quarter of 2010. The company also lobbied the federal government to fund a wide-area airborne surveillance program, according to the report filed on July 12.
In the April-to-June period, Rockwell Collins lobbied Congress, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Transportation Department and other agencies, according to the report filed with the House clerk's office.
