Boeing Co. has been awarded $27.9 million from the U.S. Air Force for aircraft test sets and replacement parts.

The Department of Defense announced the awards last Friday. Both are modifications to current contracts.

Boeing's St. Louis-based defense unit received $15.9 million to provide test sets for F-15C/D/E aircraft. Robins Air Force Base in Georgia is the contractor.

A Boeing design facility in Huntington Beach, Calif., was awarded $12 million to identify replacement parts for some on-board computers and update the design of the operator's displays to handle the new parts. Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts is the contractor.
